The Eternal Tablet

Stone-like material with glowing inscriptions that change

Overview

The Eternal Tablet is a fascinating artifact that appears to be made of stone but possesses properties that defy natural geology. Its surface displays glowing inscriptions that periodically change patterns, cycling through different languages and symbol systems. Researchers believe it serves as a dynamic historical record, updating itself through unknown means.

Discovery & Origin

Discovered in 2018 within the ruins of what appeared to be a massive library complex on an Outer Rim planet, the Tablet was found in a position of great importance, elevated on a pedestal in the central chamber. The ruins suggest the civilization that created it placed immense value on recorded knowledge.

Scientific Analysis

The inscriptions emit a soft blue-green bioluminescence powered by an internal energy source that has not diminished in millions of years. Prof. Nakamura has identified at least 47 different writing systems, some of which match fragments found on other artifacts, suggesting a common cultural heritage.
